AASV check in tool: emotional well-being after depop / AVMA AXON course on psych impacts of depop
Following the AAAP AWC meeting in Atlanta, there has been some discussion regarding the availability of tools and support from AAAP to ensure that members can communicate about their experiences, frustrations, etc. after depopulation. We know that the last 13 months have not been easy for the industry for many of our members, and for those directly involved in depopulation implementation. Making sure that people have an outlet to talk and a safe forum for support is really important.
To that end, AASV has produced some very thoughtful and useful documents for their members, including the one linked below. It is a ‘check-in tool’ to use to assess the resiliency and emotional wellness of individuals/teams involved in depopulation measures. While it was originally developed for swine vets, the application of this tool in poultry teams and companies could be very beneficial.
