Dear AAAP Members,
As autumn settles in and we reflect on the year so far, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for the remarkable work our AAAP family continues to accomplish. We remain steadfast in our mission to foster collaboration among members to advance science-based knowledge, expertise, and education in poultry health, welfare, and food safety.
Our recent Annual Meeting was a tremendous success. The energy, collaboration, and innovation shared among attendees reaffirmed AAAP’s role as a leading voice in poultry health. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our organizers, speakers, and participants for making this event a true celebration of our global poultry community.
Through the AAAP Foundation, we proudly awarded scholarships and honors to outstanding students and professionals pursuing careers in poultry medicine. These individuals represent the future of our field, and their passion continues to inspire us all.
At the heart of AAAP is volunteerism and the spirit of giving back. While governance plays a role, our true strength lies in member engagement. I encourage each of you to take advantage of the many opportunities to contribute—whether by joining a committee, mentoring a student, or simply sharing your insights. Together, we are shaping the future of poultry health.
It is a deep honor to serve as your President. I am sincerely grateful for your support and encouragement. I follow in the footsteps of mentors and esteemed colleagues who inspired me to engage in organized veterinary medicine and industry organizations—knowing this would be a lifelong journey. Let’s continue to enjoy that journey together.
Warm regards,
Jose Linares
President, AAAP
